Tony Evers falsely awarded a mentally unstable and incompetent DNR warden Alek Hensler a conservation valor award for "extraordinary heroism" in the line of duty for shooting an unarmed man thru the hand & head in the year 2022.

DNR Casey Krueger was also involved in the charade.
This was a traffic incident gone out of control by the DNR. Josh Kaul's DOJ charged the unarmed man with attempted murder against the warden. Only problem was the DNR's warden prints & DNA were found on the DNR agent's weapon. There was no evidence to back up the DOJ's claims.
Again only the finger prints & DNA evidence recovered on the officers gun was from Alek Hensler himself, not from the citizen. This crime report is directly from the crime lab that analyzed Hensler's weapon.
Hensler's story told within the complaint & to the court cannot be verified by the State's own crime lab.
Josh Kaul's DOJ waited almost a year to charge the unarmed citizen with attempted murder. WTF???

The State also falsely claimed Hensler rendered first aid, another BIG lie by the State. Any and all First Aid was rendered by a licensed nurse at the scene. Immediately after the shooting incident, the DNR State employee Hensler sat with his head between his knees.
The Two Rivers Police Department thinks they got themselves a gem, a hero. I say Hensler is a liability, a mentally unfit loose canon ready to unleash his 45 caliber pistol against the next minor traffic infraction.
