“Water Weenie”

Racine County Sheriff Chris Schmaling announced today the return of the  “water weenie” boat to his fleet of rescue and wave runner craft.

The weenie craft in the past has been used successfully for surveillance and water patrol operations. This year the boat has been specially outfitted with hidden red and blue flashing lights, siren, a Pa hailing system and water cannon.  The water weenie craft will again be piloted by Deputy Sheriff Sergeant Dan Hogan during the 2015 water season.  Officer Hogan recently attended Coast Guard recertification classes and has been cleared to ride shotbun and hot dog around with the water rescue craft. The water weenie craft will be moored at the boat launch ramp by the Top Dog Hot Dog stand.
