The City of Racine received over $700,000.00 dollars of DNR grant money to open public access within downtown riverfront property along the Root River.
The problem is......
THERE IS NO PUBLIC ACCESS !
There is no bike pathway, no promenade, no walkway, no access to the river and no public space.
NOR DOES THE CITY HAVE ANY VIABLE PLANS IN PLACE TO FACILITATE PUBLIC ACCESS TO THE PROPERTIES !
The properties are fenced off and not available to the public.
According to the DNR application filed by the City of Racine and signed by the scammer* Mayor John Dickert, the city has until December 20, 2019 to complete the project.

What Went Wrong With Racine's Machinery Row?
Excellent report that brings into perspective the convoluted actions and frauds that are what is known as Machinery Row in Racine, WI.
There is an interesting parallel in this report corresponding to the proposed 2020 City of Racine budget, the $1.8M paid for the two Olsen properties. The $1.8M shift of PILOT revenue (payment in lieu of taxes revenue program of the city of Racine, reference page P-002 of the proposed city budget, "Other Financing Sources") that covered the tax paid expenses of the city's fire protection to new billable revenue stream through the water utility in the form of new fees of $1.8M conveniently covers the city's financial burden of it's purchase of the two Olsen properties that were purchased outside of the Machinery Row Development Fraud by the City of Racine.
Wake up Racine and smell the coffee... NO! RATHER THE STENCH OF THE CORRUPTION RUNNING RAMPANT IN THE CITY OF RACINE!!!
