The continuing
Obregon Fiasco
When Obregon was on the run, he exposed many conflicts of interest to
the public safety within the Racine County Sheriff’s office.
The most notable being the large number of drug houses identified by
the Sheriff’s office being currently operated in the Kansasville area.
As the hunt for Obregon intensified, large numbers of Racine Sheriff
personnel were reallocated to western Racine County.
This reallocation of sheriff personnel in western Racine County
included the surveillance of numerous known drug houses in the
Kansasville area.
As several sheriff investigators shook the bushes and conducted
interviews of Obregon’s known contacts in western Racine County, other deputies
were discretely positioned to observe the numerous known drug houses identified
by the sheriff’s office being operated in the
Kansasville area.
And herein is where the
conflict of public interest exists.
Known drug houses identified by the sheriff’s department are allowed to
continue to operate with impunity.

I know of a drug house in Racine that has operated for years. The police have been there many times, but it doesn't stop the sales.
