Pilot Lenny Boltz, of Pearson, Wi. who has over 20,000 flight hours made the unimanageable decision to land his plane in the water when the plane lost all power during a final approach to the Wausau airport.
Pilot Lenny Boltz placed safety of passenger & himself before his plane, avoiding a stall or spin of the plane and made a controlled landing in the water. They both swam to safety as the Bonanza sank.
They both broke the cardinal rule of swimming after dark.
Both are OK.
Lenny Boltz is the chairman of the Langlade Republican Party which is based in Antigo Wi. & a former captain of Northwest & Delta Airlines flying their flagship Boing747 airship before retiring from the Airlines.
Lenny is a true patriot & has been flying Governor candidate Tiffany around the State in his performance Bonanza 35 for the last several months.

I regressed, point is we are fortunate to have two quality men survive a downed aircraft .
