When you discuss AI, at least have a REAL discussion. 

Real issues -  proponent answers

Where are the discussions of ?

Heat generated by AI - Global warming?  -  Doesn't exist

Water use?  -   Doesn't matter

Water evaporation. - Part of water use

Carbon footprint ?  -  Doesn't count

Energy use? - Not an issue

Infrastructure cost?  - Shared because everybody benefits.

Where are the environmentalist? Why aren't they demanding data centers power up with onsite solar farms & wind mills?

I'm sorry, I forgot they are hypocrites, its ok for their pariahs to be part of global warming, heavy water consumption & use of the reliable power grid when it benefits them.

Accountability  -   who is responsible for the information? 

How do you hold a machine responsible? 

 If wrong info is used for nefarious reasons, who do you hold accountable?

Junk data in, junk data out - no problem

A I is one of the final frontiers in unaccountability. 

A nameless corporation, nameless officers, nameless workers and data without accountability - a scammers dream.  

Think about this contractors, carpenters, plumbers, steam fitters, welders, heavy machinery operators, gravel pits, all the tradespeople are indebted after they complete their work for a nefarious corporation, only then to be enslaved by the very organization that paid them so well - how ironic!

 All to become enslaved, indentured servants to a nefarious corporation without recourse.

 Full speed ahead, Why proceed without full disclosure?

Why give the public a chance to consider the consequences?

  The destruction of farmland & infrastructure cost all are part of the public expenses which will place the financial burden on the taxpayers.

Why should a community subsidize a project without full disclosure & that entity doesn't give anything back in return?
