VILLAGE OF CALEDONIA  

POLICE CHIEF BLOCKS EMAIL 

ACCESS TO THE PUBLIC. 

We were alerted by a reader that the public cannot directly contact the Police Chief of Caledonia. 

When we checked the Village of Caledonia's website to contact the chief of police, we found the reader was correct, there is no way for the public to contact him via his village email account.

WHY IS THAT ?

VILLAGE OF CALEDONIA POLICE CHIEF CHRIS BOTSCH HAS BLOCKED PUBLIC ACCESS TO HIS GOVERNMENT ASSIGNED EMAIL ADDRESS.

WTF?

Why does this man fear being contacted by the people he serves?

This is not a good way of  how a public servant/leader should conduct themselves.  Is he hiding himself from culpability and/or direct public accountability and scrutiny ?

We think so.

Seems rather Botsched up to us.
